She’s never seen a Broadway musical, but that didn’t stop finalist Bristol Palin from dancing to a pair of show tunes on the November 22 episode of Dancing with the Stars. Together with pro partner Mark Ballas, the “teen activist” began the evening with a jive set to “Move (You’re Steppin’ on My Heart)” from Dreamgirls. (Fun fact: DWTS conductor Harold Wheeler orchestrated the original production.) Palin’s all-important freestyle number, set to Chicago’s “Cell Block Tango,” featured sexy moves performed before an audience that included Joel Grey, the Broadway revival’s original Amos Hart, and Melanie Griffith, a former Broadway Roxie. (Both were in the audience to cheer on Jennifer Grey.) In case you missed it, click on to see Palin and Ballas’ Broadway-inspired numbers. The winner will be announced on November 23 in a live episode on ABC-TV.
